Dear Beh,
It's been a week since you passed away and a day since we've laid you to rest. Has it been that long already? Up to now I still couldn't imagine that you are gone. We've only been married for seven months, and now you left me all alone.
But I know that it has been a hard battle for you. I've seen you suffer from the pain brought by the cancer ravaging your body. You have always been so proud of your toned arms, your buff body, your abs. But as your disease got the better of you, you were no longer the Mox that we used to know. You progressively got thinner. You couldn't eat more than two spoonfuls every meal. You were so weak that you didn't have the strength to stand up on your own any more. You were bedridden for the last two weeks of your life and you hated every minute of it.
While it's heartbreaking for me to think of facing life without you, I know that you are now happy because you are no longer in pain. You were also spiritually prepared to leave this world, as you were able to receive Anointing of the Sick, confession, last rites and even the Holy Communion before you died. In fact, I even consider myself lucky because I was able to say my goodbyes to you before you left us.
Beh, I know you are now watching over us from heaven. Please give me the strength to go through life. Help me take one day at a time. And thank you for the wonderful gift that you have given me, our baby girl. :)
Till we meet again.

ReplyDeleteHi, dear! You helped me so much with my wedding preparation last year. I even put your site in my bookmark. Just because of your blog we have the same church and reception ( I already booked my 1st church at Our Lady of Consolacion Parish but you were able to changed my mind) I admire your courage. You are such an inspiration. There maybe some people out there with the same situation as you have, and writing this blog will also help them cope with the heartaches of losing someone they love. I want to thank you with all my heart for all your help to us during the wedding. Hugs sis! God bless, sis! :)
